Here you can find my original art work done with Pastels, Watercolors and Acrylics.
Combined in some works two or more of these mediums, most of my paintings are done in one medium.
The subjects are generally landscape, still life, floral as well as portraiture.

One of my students asked me after 2 lessons how soon before she will start making money from sales of her paintings.
After two lessons people think they will make money at it.
I wish them all luck.
How do you answer a question like that?
Should I say tomorrow or few years of painting or maybe… never.
I don’t want to discourage anyone but please….. it takes a while.
I love painting I also love to teach it.
Selling art is difficult even after years of painting.
Much of the problem to selling art is that there are too many people who just don’t appreciate original work. Many people don’t buy art for the fact that they like it or that it is beautiful or that looking at it makes them feel great or that it has a story attached to it or that it is a great conversation pc or that it is a good investment. Great number of people will buy art because it matches their sofa or curtains or wall colour, those people will go to Leons, the Brick or any other department store and will buy the mass produced stuff because it’s big and cheap and it looks fine with their furniture. Cheap is why they buy it.
I can’t sell them cheap, lot’s of time and energy goes into making a painting not to mention the price of suplies.
Of course, thank God, there are people who do appriciate fine work of art.
This group of people don’t mind spending some money on fine art. Thank God for them.
Also there are groups of people that will not buy works of art if it is too reasonable in price or too cheap. Those people think that if it does not cost as much as thier house that the work has no value.
I bought a home where I have my art gallery and at that time I decided not to charge as much for my paintings because I reduced my overhead expence so I could pass that savings on to my art clients.
That worked against me in many cases.
People just assumed that the work was not of as high quility because the price was lower.
So for those who think that they will make a living at this after 2 lesons,
I wish you luck.

THESE PAINTINGS ARE GREAT FUN FOR ME TO DO AND WILL BE
EVEN MORE FUN FOR YOU TO OWN.
THEY WILL PUT A SMILE ON ANYONE WHO LOOKS AT THEM.
THESE LITTLE GEMS ARE GREAT GIFTS FOR ANYONE.

I PAINTED THEM ON CANVAS AND ARE DONE IN ACRYLICS.

I KNOW THAT MOST PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO OWN AN ORIGINAL PAINTING,
BUT WITH TODAY’S ECONOMY THAT MIGHT NOT BE POSSIBLE FOR MANY.
TODAY I PAINTED PAST MIDNIGHT, MOST OF THE DAY AND GOOD PART OF THE NIGHT,
JUST COULD NOT STOP.
IT WAS WAY TOO MUCH FUN.

PAINTING WITH ACRYLICS IS GREAT FUN.
THIS MEDIUM IS SO MUCH EASIER THEN THE OILS OR WATERCOLORS, NOT AS EASY AS PASTELS.
OILS TAKE A LONG TIME TO DRY
WITH ACRYLICS THERE IS NO ISSUE WITH DRYING, THEY DRY SO QUICKLY. SOME TIME THE FACT THAT THEY DRY FAST IS A PROBLEM BUT YOU CAN EASILY OVERCOME THAT.
WITH OILS YOU HAVE TO USE (TOXIC) SOLVENTS TO CLEAN WITH, ACRYLICS ALL THE CLEANING IS DONE WITH WATER.
PASTEL IS A FUN MEDIUM BUT THERE IS AN ISSUE OF INHALING A LOT OF THE TOXIC DUST AND
YOU DO GET VERY DIRTY PAINTING WITH PASTELS.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO PAINT WITH PASTELS YOU SHOULD INVEST IN A GOOD HEPA FILTER AND WEAR A MASK.
NICE THING ABOUT PASTELS YOU DO NOT NEED A BRUSH. AT LEAST I DID NOT NEED A BRUSH. ALL THE BLEDING AND MIXING I DID WITH MY FINGERS, ALTHOUGH, YOU DON’T HAVE TO USE YOUR FINGERS YOU CAN USE DIFFERENT BLENDING TOOLS.
HAVE FUN CREATING AND TRYING ALL THE DIFFERENT MEDIUMS THAT ARE OFFERED UNTIL YOU FIND ONE YOU LIKE BEST.

This painting is done in acrylic and it is a view from my studio.
The neutral earthy colors are very soothing. One morning it accured to me that the view out of my window should be painted. Instead of going out on location to paint, I was living on this beautiful spot and for the first time saw the need to record this georges scene. It was in autumn and the corn was so golden, the sun was shining, (it was shining when I started to paint) it so moved me to record it.
It is amazing how it changes from season to season and how different crops change the colors.
